You and I share much, Aaron; although, I haven’t (yet) lost a sibling. And my wife is urgently trying to talk me out of buying a motorcycle. The more I love her (more every day), the more I know she’s right.
When I showed her a draft of this story, we both cried. Then I read this to her: https://obriencg.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/A-Marriage.pdf
That’s life. That’s why it’s precious. That’s why this sharing of our humanity is so important and equally precious. We’re going to do this one time. If we don’t do it openly, humbly, and vulnerably, we will not have done it right … and we will have missed much.
Thank you so much for sharing your story, your humanity, and your vulnerability. The longer I live the more sure I am we are, indeed, all in this together.
